Important News

Back to School Night starts tomorrow. Here's the schedule:

  • 6th Grade - Tuesday 9/26
  • 7th Grade - Wednesday, 9/27
  • 8th Grade - Thursday, 9/28

This year's Back to School Night will be an open house format.

Stop by HMS between 5:30 and 6:30 to meet your child's teachers. Make sure to bring their schedule with you so you can locate each class (schedules will also be available at their homeroom).

Remember to stop at the PTO table to learn more about what we do and what we have planned for this year.

We'll also have "H" magnets for sale each night. Magnets are only $5 each, and we take cash or Venmo.

Never got around to picking up your magnet last year? Stop by our table to get it.

We look forward to seeing everyone this week!

We have lots of volunteer opportunities available this year.

The gift of your time helps us provide events throughout the year for our staff and students.

New School Year, New Logo

You may have noticed our new HMS PTO logo on social media or throughout this newsletter. We're excited to display this crisp professional looking design in our communications going forward. Thank you to former HTSD parent, Lauren Yacina of LaurenSY Design for her work in creating this fantastic logo!

Ford Fight for Life is a great night that defines what a great community Havertown is and it means so much to the football players when they are wearing their jersey for someone special in the community.

Frequently Asked Questions Below:

  • Who gets to keep the jersey? Who keeps the jersey will be up to the honoree. In many cases they say that the player can keep the jersey but more often than not the honoree will keep the jersey. If your honoree is unable to make it to the game, we will mail them their jersey.
  • Who wears the Jersey?  Varsity, JV players, and all managers (10th -12th grade) will wear the jersey during the game.
  • Do the freshman jerseys get sponsored?  Freshman jerseys do not get sponsored.
  • Can you sponsor a Jersey in memory of someone who passes?  Jerseys can absolutely be sponsored in memory of someone. Typically the family members of the person that passed is invited to the ceremony to accept the jersey.
  • Can one honoree have more than one jersey sponsored for them?  Absolutely.  We have had multiple jerseys sponsored for the same honoree. The honoree will only need to walk once but would walk with more than one player. For example, last year Lily Walker walked with five players and received 5 jerseys at the end of the game.

What if the honoree cannot attend the game? That is fine. The sponsor can walk with the player and collect the jersey for the honoree and mail it to them.

Please spread the word!

If you have any questions, please email us at fordsfightforlife@gmail.com

Thank you for your support of our community and the Kevin Cain Memorial Foundation!
